BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Local and state leaders along with Veteran Health Indiana broke ground this week on the new 24,000-square-foot Bloomington VA Outpatient Clinic.

The new clinic, which is expected to be complete and open in late summer 2025, will be on North Lintel Drive will consolidate mental health, primary care and specialty care services, replacing the two facilities where local Veterans currently receive care.

VA providers will be the new source of patient care, rather than contracted medical staff who staff two separate facilities.

Veterans will be able to access care for physical therapy, optometry, audiology, prosthetics, dietician services, social work, phlebotomy and telehealth. 

“Veterans’ trust in the work of Department of Veterans Affairs employees is at an all-time high,” said Michael Hershman, Director, Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, and Veteran Health Indiana.

VA provides health care to approximately 9 million Veterans, according to the release from Veteran Health Indiana.
