Lawrence County Deputy killed in Greene County motorcycle crash

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. — A Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy was killed in a motorcycle crash in Greene County Saturday night.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office identified the motorcyclist as Brenten Trueblood, 25, of Bedford.

The crash happened around 11:00 p.m.m near the State Road 445 and Interstate 69 interchange just southwest of Bloomington.

First responders found Trueblood off State Road 445 near the southbound ramp onto Interstate 69.

He was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital but did not survive.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office posted a memorium in a Facebook post Sunday:

“Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for the tragic passing of Deputy Trueblood. He was one of a kind, who brought an unmatched work ethic every day. You will be missed dearly, sir. You can rest easy, we will take it from here. You will never be forgotten.”
