BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) — Bloomington Mayor Kerry Thomson has appointed Anna Killion-Hanson to lead the city’s Department of Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND).
Killion-Hanson has served as interim director of HAND since January and served as its assistant director since June 2023. The city said in a press release that Killion-Hanson has more than 20 years of experience in the housing, construction and development field.
She has also served as executive director of the Bloomington Redevelopment Commission, and as a local Realtor for 20 years.
“Anna’s experience in the field, knowledge of the department, and understanding of the challenges and opportunities we have in Bloomington make her a great fit for this role. I look forward to working alongside her in the coming months and years to address Bloomington’s housing crisis and to better support our neighborhoods and residents.”
