MCCSC approves of new high school bell schedule

Bloomington-North-High-School

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The Monroe County Community School Corporation has approved a proposed change to the districts high school class schedule.

Beginning next school year, Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South will be on a hybrid block schedule. Bloomington High School South is already on a block schedule, while Bloomington North is on a trimester schedule.

In the new schedule, classes will be reduced to an hour, and students will be able to take eight credits a semester. Another change is the addition of a new intervention time, which district leaders say will promote academic growth.
