BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - Bloomington Police are investigating a reported shooting that happened at Winslow Plaza on the city's south side Monday afternoon.

Police say that officers were called to the area just before 2 p.m. Monday for reported shots fired. Investigators on scene determined that two men exchanged gunfire in the parking lot, striking nearby buildings with bullets.

Police also say that no victims were found, and that witnesses told them a white SUV with a shattered rearview window reportedly fled the scene after the shooting.

Officers were able to locate the SUV nearby and conducted a traffic stop, where 18-year-old Antowyne Osborne was arrested without incident. Police say that while officers were attempting to Osborne into custody, he reportedly was crouched down, reaching for the front grill.

A stolen gun from an apartment complex was recovered by officers after Osborne was taken into custody. He faces charges of criminal recklesness, and theft, both a level 5 felony, as well as a misdemeanor gun charge.

Along with witness interviews, police say that surveillance footage was reviewed, and it was determined that 19-year-old Shauntrell Watts would be arrested in the shooting as well.

Officers located and interviewed Watts a second time, and he was arrested on charges of attempted murder, a level 1 felony, criminal recklessness, a level 5 felony, and pointing a firearm at another person, a level 6 felony.

Both men were held in the Monroe County Jail without bond.
