COLUMBUS, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one person Monday evening.
According to a Facebook post from the department, officers were called to the 2600 block of Joseph Cox Court for a report of shots fired.
CPD says that when police arrived to the area, they found a man injured with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead.
Police say they arrested a person of interest who was located near the area. CPD says that officers will continue patrols around the area but emphasized there is no threat to the public.
