BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - Two Bloomington parents are facing felony charges after court documents say police found their 16-year-old son in possession of a semi-automatic assault rifle, along with several other guns.

Gregory Cordell Baker Sr. and Olinida K Allen were arrested by police after an investigation into a separate shooting uncovered their son allegedly had access to firearms.

The probable cause affidavit says that while police were searching for the suspects believed to have been involved in the Oct. 16 shooting at Winslow Plaza, police searched the area of Rockport Road, which police say has been the area of shots fired in the past.

Court documents say that while police were searching the area, they were able to locate the suspect vehicle and one of the suspects, Antowyne Osborne, within ten minutes.

Police also observed a "young black male," later identified as a 16 year old, on the porch of a house on Rockport Road, "holding a long, black object that appeared to be a rifle."

Court documents say police later witnessed Osborne and a female leave the same house, where the they and the teen boy were taken into custody.

The probable cause affidavit says that police were granted and executed a search warrant on the home and suspect vehicle. During the search warrant, officers reportedly located a rifle "consistent with what [the teen boy] was seen holding."

The rifle was a loaded AM-15 with a round in the chamber.

Court documents say police also uncovered a loaded Ruger .380 pistol on the floor of one of the bedrooms, as well as a loaded Glock 9mm pistol.

Officers talked with the teen boy's parents, Baker Sr. and Allen, who reportedly told police that there should be three firearms in the house, and that they all belong to Allen.

At the time of the incident the 16-year-old boy was on house arrest for his involvement in an armed robbery. Online court records show a new warrant was issued for the teen following the arrest of his parents.
