ISP says around 5:43 p.m on Nov. 17, a trooper was patrolling I-69 and stabbed a vehicle traveling south at 93 mph.

When the trooper made contact with the driver, he reported detecting a strong odor of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle.

ISP says the driver, later identified as Garrett, failed to identify himself and sped off.

During the chase, Garrett allegedly ran through several stop signs, stop lights, and weaved in and out of traffic.

ISP later terminated the chase due to safety concerns.

Garrett was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail, and was later released after posting bond.
