IU Women's Tennis suffers first loss of the season

The Hoosier got their first loss of the season this Sunday. The Hoosiers played Yale and lost the match 6-1. Making IU’s record 4-1 on the season. Both teams entered the match with perfect records and played to keep their winning streak. Starting with doubles Yale won both No.1 and No.2 positions, while IU’s No.3 doubles Li Hsin Lin and Elisabeth won theirs 6-2. 

The singles matches of the day gave IU another win. Freshman Elisabeth Dunac continues her winning streak by winning both of her matches of the day. As No.5 singles, Dunac won her match 2-0. The freshman player has a personal 4-0 record on the season. Overall, Yale University won the other doubles matches of the day.

The match ended with Yale winning 6-1. The Hoosiers will spend the next three weeks traveling. First going up against West Virginia on February 2nd. The IU Women’s tennis will also face Alabama, Xavier, and Kansas State while on the road. While on the road the Hoosiers hope to gain more experience and a few wins on the way.
