BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The Indiana University Police Department is looking for two people who allegedly took several packages from Sigma Delta Tau sorority, according to IU Public Safety Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba.

Skibba said that on Jan. 3, officers took a theft report from 11 residents, who reported their packages were stolen by two individuals on Dec. 31, who were captured on security cameras.

One of the two suspects appears to have facial hair and a noticeable tattoo on the top of their left hand. Other than the security camera photos, no other suspect information was given.

Anyone with information on this incident is being asked to contact Detective Cartwright at 812-856-7139.

IU Police and Public Safety have several theft prevention tips that may help keep your packages safe.

  1. Require a signature for delivery - this ensures that your package will never be left unattended.
  2. Consider alternative delivery options - FedEx, UPS, and USPS all have alternative delivery and pick-up options. Visit their website to explore a location nearest you.
  3. Sign up for delivery alerts - Get notified when your package is delivered. If you are not home upon delivery, ask a trusted friend to pick it up for you until you are free.
