BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Pharmaceutical manufacturer Catalent has laid off 130 employees at its Bloomington facility.
The layoffs come barely a month after the Danish investment group, Novo Holdings, announced plans to buy out the company for $16.5 billion.
More than 400 employees were let go during multiple rounds of layoffs in 2022 and 2023.
Catalent is the second-largest employer in Bloomington. The company partnered with Moderna during the COVID-19 pandemic to manufacture Coronavirus vaccines.
