BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious crash involving three motorcycles.

According to a release, the crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday on State Road 446 near Salt Creek Drive, as if you were heading towards Monroe Lake. Police did not say what might have caused the crash, but did say a motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital with serious lower leg injuries.
State Road 446 was closed for more than two hours as investigators pieced together what happened, and cleared the road. The crash remains under investigation.
