ISP said that the second semi then crashed into the first truck, and the second and third semis immediately caught on fire.
The drivers in both the second and third semi trucks died at the scene.
In the release, ISP said that I-65 south remained closed until 11 a.m. the following morning. During the investigation and clean up, traffic was diverted off the interstate at the Austin exit.
The crash remains under investigation.
