70 people were arrested over a week-long saturation patrol conducted by the Indiana State Police in north central Indiana.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Wabash County Sheriff’s Office, Kokomo Police Department, and Rochester Police Department helped with the effort.
ISP said the goal of the operation was to enforce traffic laws, stop the flow of illegal narcotics, and target aggressive, distracted, and impaired driving.
During the week-long saturation patrol, ISP had the following results:
- 70 criminal arrests on 136 primarily drug-related charges
- 19 felony charges
- 105 misdemeanor charges
- 124 traffic citations issued
- 322 written warnings
- 12 arrests for driving while impaired
- 2 crashes worked
- 12 calls for service
State Police said they also confiscated cocaine, LSD, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, edible marijuana products, MDMA, THC oil, ketamine, prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia.
