BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — For two weeks starting July 8, the City of Bloomington will partner with Williams Tree Company of Martinsville to help clean up the damage still left behind from a powerful storm that hit the city on June 25.
Crews will collect tree and vegetation-related debris that are gathered into piles near the road.
The piles must stay out of the right-of-ways to maintain safety and accessibility.
The clean up service is only available to homes within the Bloomington city limits.
Bloomington residents needing storm damage collection services can submit a request through UReport at bton.in/storm.
Starting July 6, the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department will open a public drop-off site for vegetation debris in the parking lots adjacent to the ball fields at Lower Cascades. (3601 N. Old State Road 37,)
The drop-off site will operate starting Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The city says residents must show ID to access this service.
