BLOOMINGTON — The Project School, a Bloomington public charter school, was closed Wednesday after students found a threat written on a bathroom stall Tuesday.
The threat read, “School Shooting, 10/2/2024.”
According to Bloomington Police, a detective responded to the school as students and staff evacuated the building and determined there was no active threat.
After speaking with several students with their parents in the room, police arrested and transported a 12-year-old girl to Monroe County Juvenile Probation on a charge of intimidation, a class A misdemeanor.
The Project School teaches students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
