SPENCER COUNTY, Ind. — A man is in critical condition, and another is in jail after a shooting at a bar in Spencer County early Saturday morning, according to Indiana State Police.

ISP says officers were called to The Chateau on East State Road 62 in Mariah Hill after a man was shot during an argument. When police arrived, they found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound outside the bar.

Police arrested 28-year-old Paris Keaton on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony; pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony, criminal recklessness, a Level 6 felony, and driving while suspended, a Class A Misdemeanor.

An investigation found that Keaton and three males had a verbal argument inside the bar and that one of the men walked out of the bar and Keaton followed.

A physical fight reportedly took place outside before a man was shot. Keaton allegedly went back inside and pointed the gun at the two other men inside.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. Keaton was taken to the Spencer County Jail, where ISP said he is currently being held on bond.
