BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington residents should bust out the gloves and scarves as the National Weather Service predicts that city's first snowfall will occur Thursday.
Snow showers are expected before 10 a.m. and to last until 2 p.m. Wind gusts could be as high as 33mph. Bloomington residents should brace themselves for colder temperatures all Thursday with a high of 34 degrees.
The chance of precipitation is 90%, but snowfall accumulation should remain within one to two inches.
With the mixture of Wednesday rain, Thanksgiving travelers should be wary of ice buildup on the roads although the NWS says, “road temperature forecasts show ground temperatures well above freezing which will help to limit accumulations on the roads to periods of higher snowfall rates.”
