ANDERSON, Ind. — A school resource officer is facing child sex charges for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to students.
Joshua Senseney, 50, is charged with three counts of child solicitation, each a Level 5 felony, and official misconduct, a Level 6 felony.
Indiana State Police said the investigation began in June from a request by the Anderson Police Department.
A parent reported Senseney sent inappropriate texts to juveniles while he was working as a school resource officer in May. Senseney was on administrative leave during the investigation.
ISP said Senseney turned himself into police Tuesday morning. He had an initial hearing in Madison County and was released on a no contact order.
If convicted, Senseney faces up to six years for each Level 5 felony and up to two and a half years for a Level 6 felony, according to Indiana sentencing guidelines.
