BLOOMINGTON — After being fenced and closed off for 136 days, Dunn Meadow is now reopen on the Bloomington campus, just days before the end of the fall semester.
The closure, which began just days after the Indiana University Board of Trustees voted to approve an expressive activity policy, was to repair what the university said was the result of "heavy use of that space since April."
The facilities team repaired the sub-surface irrigation system and installed new turf, according to an IU news release. The release says that the meadow will be available for reservation next semester.
Dunn Meadow also has several new attachments to the light posts, which appear to be cameras, although IUPD refused to comment on the installation of new cameras for a December article from the Herald Times.
