In a release, IU Health said it learned on Oct. 18 that a team member’s account may have been compromised.
The health system said they detected “unusual activity” on the account and that an unauthorized person may have had access to certain patient addresses, ages, medical record numbers, diagnoses, or other limited treatment information.
However, no financial information or Social Security numbers are believed to be impacted by the breach.
IU Health says the company began notifying affected people on Dec. 17.
If you have any questions, IU Health has established a toll-free hotline at 1-844-920-8857, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday (except major U.S. holidays).
