KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police arrested a Ft. Wayne man Wednesday after a K-9 uncovered three kilos of suspected cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash.

IUSTV News has a policy to refrain from naming suspects until official charges are filed by a county prosecutor.

A state trooper started a traffic stop on the 44-year-old man while driving east on Highway 30 in northern Indiana.

ISP says during the traffic stop, a K-9 from the Warsaw Police Department responded to assist the trooper with a free-air sniff.

During the sniff, the K-9 reportedly gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics in the car.

Police seized three kilos of suspected cocaine and approximately $3,000.

The man was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.
