BLOOMINGTON — Lane closures are set to make a return to a portion of State Road 45/46 in Bloomington.
Starting Dec. 13, crews with the City of Bloomington will perform utility relocation work just east of the Interstate 69 interchange, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Work in the area is expected to last up to two weeks.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones
Last month, all lanes in both directions of State Road 45/46 reopened after nine months of construction and lane closures.
Workers made changes to the intersection of N Monroe Street and N Stonelake Drive. The speed limit along S.R. 45/46 was lowered from 50 mph to 45 mph.
While most of the project is complete, crews will continue to work on the new off-ramp from S.R. 45/46 onto Arlington Road. Work on that phase could last until next fall.
The new off ramp will connect westbound S.R. 45/46 to W Arlington Road.
