BLOOMINGTON — Parents in the Monroe County Community School Corporation will soon have higher childcare program costs next school year.

The MCCSC Board of Trustees voted Tuesday to approve new monthly rates.

The infant program, which is for children six weeks to one year old will increase from $1,100 to $1,150 next year.

The toddler program for children ages one to three years old will cost $1,100 next year, up from $1,000 this year.

The preschool program (at Early Learning Center and Hoosier Hills Childcare Center) will cost $1,000 next year, up from $900 this year.

Parents with children in these programs will spend $600 to $1,200 more annually.

Monthly costs for the three programs did not increase from the 2018-19 school year to the 2023-24 school year.

The rate increase would align the fees close to other local childcare options, according to the approved proposal
