BEDFORD, Ind. — Indiana State Police arrested a Bedford man this week after a "rapidly evolving" investigation into child molesting allegations.
David Ericksen, 45, is charged with two counts of child molesting as a Level 1 felony, child molesting as a Level 4 felony and neglect of a dependent, a Level 6 felony.

The investigation began Feb. 3 after detectives were called to speak with a child victim at Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center, according to state police. Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies also assisted.
Ericksen was identified as the suspect, and police executed a search warrant for Ericksen's electronic devices, car and home the following day. He was arrested after and taken to the Lawrence County jail.
If convicted, Ericksen faces a sentence between 20 and 50 years for child molesting as a Level 1 felony, between two and 12 years for a Level 4 felony and up to two and a half years for a Level 6 felony.
He is due back in court in March.
