The investigation began Feb. 3 after detectives were called to speak with a child victim at Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center, according to state police. Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies also assisted.

Ericksen was identified as the suspect, and police executed a search warrant for Ericksen's electronic devices, car and home the following day. He was arrested after and taken to the Lawrence County jail.

If convicted, Ericksen faces a sentence between 20 and 50 years for child molesting as a Level 1 felony, between two and 12 years for a Level 4 felony and up to two and a half years for a Level 6 felony.

He is due back in court in March.
