INDIANAPOLIS — A South Carolina man will spend the next 33 months in federal prison for a nude and disruptive incident during a security screening at the Indianapolis International Airport.

George Stevens, 38, pleaded guilty to interference with security screening personnel and assault of a federal officer.

He will spend three years on supervised release after he finishes his prison sentence, the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Indiana announced in a press release.

Federal prosecutors say Stevens was traveling through the TSA checkpoint at the Indy airport on July 15, 2023. One of the machines displayed an alarm "indicating that additional screening of his chest, groin, and buttocks was required."

Stevens complied and was calm during the chest pat down. However, when the security officer began patting down his outer and inner groin area, Stevens called the TSO a “freak” several times.

The officer called for a supervisor, who reported Stevens appeared intoxicated and was not complying with orders.

An officer from the Indianapolis Airport Police Department was called to help assist. Before the officer arrived, federal prosecutors say Stevens squatted in front of the security officers and "shook his butt."

When Stevens was told that policer were on the way, federal prosecutors said he became agitated and said, “I don’t have nothing” and “what do you want to see?"

After, Stevens pulled his jeans and underwear to his ankles and exposed his bare buttocks and genitals to the officers and the passengers in the terminal.

The act, which prosecutors called lewd, occurred in front of dozens of passengers, including children.
