WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. — Two people are dead after a snowmobile accident in northern Indiana.
It happened late Friday night just before midnight on Blue Lake in Whitley County, according to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR said 44-year-old Robert Baker and a juvenile passenger were riding on the snowmobile when they were thrown from the vehicle after crashing into brush along the shoreline.
Lifesaving efforts were rendered on scene, but both had died from their injuries, the DNR said.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
