BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - A former Indiana University professor was arrested and charged after investigators reportedly found files containing child porn on his Dropbox account.

Police arrested Richard Wilk, 70, at his home on Tuesday. Wilk is listed as a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in IU's anthropology department.

He is currently charged with possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony.

According to court documents, the investigation began on Dec. 13, after detectives with Bloomington Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), alerting to a Dropbox account that was identified as child pornography of a person less than 12 years old.

Police contacted the Dropbox company and was given the specific account information that identified Wilk as a suspect.

According to court documents, police executed a search warrant at Wilk's home in Bloomington, where in an interview, Wilk admitted to looking at child pornography. Wilk also reportedly told police they should be pursuing the "producers of the child pornography."

Online court records show Wilk posted bail and waived his initial hearing, entering a not-guilty plea.

He is due back in court on March 18.
