Indy to host 2025 Big Ten men’s and women’s basketball tournaments

GAINBRIDGE FIELDHOUSE — The Big Ten Tournament will stay in the Hoosier state for the next three years, following the Big Ten’s announcement this afternoon that the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, will host both the men’s and women’s tournaments in 2025.

“We look forward to partnering with the cities of Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas as they host the Big Ten Basketball Tournaments from 2025-28,” said Big Ten Commissioner, Tony Petitti. “Each city will be an exciting postseason opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans, both locally and from across the country.”

The Big Ten is no stranger to Indianapolis. The city has hosted 27 TIAA Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournaments and 14 TIAA Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournaments.

In an effort to incorporate all three time zones, fans will also get to experience the tournaments in Chicago, Las Vegas, and Detroit. In total, Indianapolis will host four tournaments, while Las Vegas has two, Chicago and Detroit each have one.

This year’s tournaments will be the first time all 15 Big Ten teams will play since adding Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington this past year. The women’s tournament will be held March 5-9 and the men’s tournament will follow March 12-16.
