BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - IU basketball freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement at the Taco Bell near College Mall early Sunday morning.

According to Bloomington Police, restaurant managers told police they refused to serve Mgbako, who was allegedly cursing and being rude to employees in the drive-thru. When police arrived, Mgbako reportedly refused to leave the property after being asked.

Police say he was removed from his vehicle and taken to the Monroe County jail.

"IU Athletics is aware of the situation," an Indiana spokesperson said, “We will continue to gather facts, cooperate with and monitor the legal process, and take further action as the evolving situation warrants."

Mgbako was a five-star recruit from Gladstone, New Jersey. He committed to Indiana in May after withdrawing his original commitment to Duke.
