IUPD issues Crime Notice for reported rape at Walnut Grove Center

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An IU Crime Notice for a reported rape was sent to the campus community Friday morning.

According to the crime notice, IUPD took a rape report from a victim around 11 p.m. Thursday. The sexual assault is alleged to have happened in the victim’s dorm room at Walnut Grove Center at around 2 a.m. earlier that morning.

The suspect is known to police and is a student at IU, the crime notice said. The investigation is ongoing.
