Police investigate possible armed robbery at IU Credit Union

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a possible armed robbery at the IU Credit Union on 17th Street, according to an IU Notify Alert sent Tuesday evening.

The first IU Notify Alert was pushed to students at 4:29 p.m. alerting of a possible armed individual fleeing from the IU Credit Union.

A later update described the suspect as a black male and was reported wearing a tan Carhartt jacket and a black ski mask.

In a final update pushed at 4:57 p.m., police said that they believed the suspect was no longer in the area, and that people could resume their normal activities.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call 911. IUPD says that additional updates can be found @IUPolice on X, formerly known as Twitter.
