BLOOMINGTON — A natural gas leak reported near the area of Atwater Avenue and Faculty Avenue has been contained, according to an IU Notify alert Friday.

The leak was first reported in an IU Notify Alert just after noon. At the time, IU Police and Public Safety warned it could take crews several hours to contain the leak.

This is the second time in three month that a gas leak occurred on Atwater Avenue. In July, a gas leak was reported just blocks away near Park Avenue.
