Princeton mother arrested for OWI with two children in car

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (IUSTV News) – The Indiana State Police (ISP) says a Princeton mother was arrested from operating while intoxicated with her two children in the backseat.

A trooper pulled over 28-year-old Tamera Reeves for having an improper taillight and no license plate light. ISP says Reeves displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. She also registered a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.07%.

Police say a further investigation revealed she tested positive for cannabis and amphetamines.

Reeves’ two children, a two-year-old son and a four-week-old daughter, were both in the back of the vehicle.

Police arrested Reeves and charged her with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years of age, and neglect of a dependent. Both charges are level 6 Felonies in Indiana.

The children were handed to a family member.
